Biography

Haddon Hubbard Sundblom was born in Muskegon, Michigan, on 22nd June, 1899. He studied at the American Academy of art. Not much is recorded about his personal life, but his most major contribution to modern culture is the Coca Cola Santa Claus illustration.

He is recognized as a major inspiration for many pinup artists, including Duane Bryers, another one of the artists I am studying.

He died at Edgewater Hospital in Chicago in 1976, and was buried at Memorial Park Cemetery in Skokie.
